Seems like a good value for the price. I bought 2 slabs to make candles for the first time. I’m pleased with the results. This seems to be a good product–as far as making the candles. It seems like the wax pooled and extinguished the flame sooner than I had expected though(a few hours). Maybe it should be mixed with a harder wax? |

Bought this to make my own napalm/fuel blocks. Looks like its gonna work out just fine. Gonna use Camel Snus tins for my fold up pack stove. Gonna work out just fine. Also read from Survival blog that you can mix this wax with shredded paper and then fill up empty toilet paper rolls to use as an aid for starting fires. Gonna start throwing two bricks of this stuff in the cart everytime i go to the store and put it up for survival.

Once mixed with stabilizers this wax works great for all kinds of candles. Used alone some blemishes are apparent in the wax but that stands to reason seeing as this product is a raw material and has no stabolizers in it.

This is the paraffin wax that my mother used to seal jelly and jam jars. It can also be used to make candles or can be put in the paraffin bath. But it’s a FRACTION of the cost of “candle” wax or the perfumed wax used in the wax baths. Unless you are using beeswax, I believe all these waxes are the same paraffin wax I bought for .50 a pound rather than . (I actually used it to cast a sculpture.) It’s pure enough to use with food and it’s tough and inexpensive enough to use for candlemaking or sculptures. It’s a great buy.

Although this is a cooking wax I have found it to be very good skate wax. Whether you skateboard or rollerblade this wax will have you sliding very fast. Be careful don’t overuse it. |
