This candle is more of a shade of purple rather than pink. And it is extremely big. We will not be using it for my daughter's 1st birthday. We are having a cupcake cake and this candle will be too large and heavy to use. It should work fine on a traditional cake, though. We didn't have any problems with the shipping.

When I saw this candle, I just had to have it for my daughters first birthday party. Once ordered, I couldnt wait until it was delivered at my home so I could see it! When the package arrived, I opened it, and to my surrprise I saw a GIANT molded candle. The coloring is actually off a little from the picture online, instead of a light pink background, it is more of a purple color. The candle itself is HUGE. It will be nearly impossible to fit on a little tiny cupcake, which I had planned on giving my daughter. I feel this candle may be approiate for a Giant Cupcake or for a regular birthday cake, but not for a tiny cupcake that most families give their children on their first birthday.
