We LOVE these rechargeable tea lights. We charge them during the day and let them go all night long. We put them out in the evening, and they are still going (at medium-to-weak strength) the next morning. They're great when you have company, or when you want to curl up and watch a DVD to soft background lighting.

When I ordered these, I was a bit worried that the lighting would look phony, but I was pleasantly surprised. The light is soft yellow and flickers delicately, much like a real candle. And without the danger/heat of real candles. This is a real plus for us, as we live in southern Florida, where spring/summer/autumn are too hot/humid for real candles. These are small enough that you'll want to keep them out of reach of small children and pets, but we find real comfort knowing that we can leave a room without fear that a real lit candle will fall or tip over and set the house on fire.

Although the included frosted sleeves are plastic, I recommend using them, as they really do accentuate the lighting beautifully.

I'll likely get another set of 12, and use them in some wall-mounted tea light holders. (I wouldn't dream of putting real lit candles on a wall-mounted holder.)

I spent at least an hour looking at all the reviews for rechargeable light and finally settled on these. I am satisfied with the price and the quality. They are less than an 1/8 of an inch wider then a tea candle and 1/4 of an inch taller on the actual candle part. The flame is 5/8 inch tall. They look like they do in the picture that is on amazon. So of course you can tell that they are fake but they look really good in the plastic sleeves that they come with. And the sleeves do not look cheap. I haven't paid attention to how long it takes to charge them. I have only changed them once. But they do last all evening and into the next morning. They have 2 Ni-MH rechargeable batteries in each candle. These, they say, should last about 500 charges and cannot be thrown away with the regular garbage. They need to be taken to your city waste department or to a battery recycle center. On the bottom there are 3 little screws so it looks like you might be able to open them up and replace the batteries. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because they do not have a warranty.

This was a good buy. The tea lights are great to place in dark spots at night so you won't fall when getting up at night. I don't like bright lights when I try to sleep so these tea lights are low lit enough that they don't bother me. Also, they look really nice in a vase, candleholder, or as back lighting.

The are great for a storm too. If the powers goes out you can place your charged tea lights around the home to move safely around. The lights stay on for days before needing to recharge.
