This is great for starters or pros. My sister and I have had lots of fun, but you do have to buy some extras that aren't included.

As others have said this kit has just about everything you need to start making your own candles.

Scents, wax, molds, wicks...from a "ingredients" perspective it is worth every penny.

Two gripes...first, the instructions are DVD. Its always difficult to try and do something timed to a TV (or having to remember it after watching). There is an "instruction sheet", but its literally a 1...2...3...step order with the most rudimentary of instructions.

Secondly, would it have really killed them to include a thermometer and the other couple things I found I needed but was not included in the kit?

We had to send this kit back. It arrived open and leaking. Whom ever packed, did not do an adequate job. Amazon took it back without a problem but gave us credit not our money back.
