I received my v tower vaporizer a few days ago. After a frustrating first couple of days trying to find the right temperature to use, I called vapenow.com for some advice. I spoke with a real friendly guy there who gave me a few pointers for my next attempt. On his advice, I dialed the heat up to 250 celcius, which had seemed kind of high to me before, made sure to let it warm up for 15-20 minutes, and lo and behold, the vapors started flowing! Apparently, the temperature sensor records the heat closer to the heating unit, not where your material sits in the bowl. Even though the temperature readout will hit your desired mark in seconds, it's still best to wait 15-20 minutes before using so that the bowl can warm up too. if you don't have a grinder, you'll want to get one to make sure your material has more surface area for the heat to hit.also, a slow draw seems to keep the heat more even.
Otherwise, it seems like a very sturdy unit. Incredibly easy to use. The 360 degree whip action is a nice feature, and the connector for the whip sits in the bowl very snugly. Also, the bowl can be handled safely by touching the black heat resistant part only when in use.It's also pretty small, and could be transported pretty easily if you wanted to take it to a friend's house.

I smoke a lot of herb. I was very, very skeptical about my ability to find the same satisfaction from a vaporizer as I (used) to get from rolling or using a pipe. HA! I have never known enjoyment like this. It has reduced my intake from 2 oz per week of dried herbs to 1!! I LOVE saving $ $ .
Now, specifically about the V-tower by Arizer. I did a *lot* of research before I bought. I read everything I could find, specifically forums and user-reviews. Not many people had anything bad to say about this unit. Especially for the price. Considering the lacking warranties and bad reviews, I really feel like I got my V-Tower for a steal. I don't have an arm and a leg to spend, I would never buy the Volcano just because of the price tag. This fit within my budget and I figured I could always sell it on Craigslist if I was really disappointed. I will not be selling this. What I'll save on smoking material will more than justify the cost within a month.

Ease of Use: Easy. I had it out of the box and put together in 5 minutes. "Putting Together" consisted of plugging in the ac adapter, setting the glass bowl on top and inserting the whip.

Quality of Construction: Sturdy. Heats up *very* fast and cools down as fast. Round base makes it really hard to knock over. Doesn't get very hot underneath and even at 240.C the cool-touch portion of the bowl was cool enough to handle. Whip has *no* flavor (this is a big deal!)

Warranty: How can you beat lifetime on the heating element and 2 years parts and labor on all else?

Two thumbs way, WAY up. If you are hesitant to try vaporizers because you are a heavy smoker, fear no more. Can't believe how happy I am with this! On a quick health note, I feel like I can breathe so deeply now, and I hardly ever cough on this. I'm sure results vary, but I noticed a change almost immediately after stopping smoking.

PS: I use it on 225-230C. It takes less than 4 minutes to really "heat up"

This product is ideal for your warming needs. The instructions recommend setting the digital screen to 210 degrees Celcius - which seems very high but its a good start. Everyone has their own preferences but we prefer to put our stuff in the top while the device is heating up. We set it to 230 degrees Celcius and let it warm for between 10 and fifteen minutes before using. After a few takes use the glass stir piece to move around whatever you have it the top glass piece.
The best part about this device is that there is literally no smell given off.
The worst part is that because you are inhaling vapors, until you are accustomed to this type of smoke, you may overdo it after a couple of hits.
The best way we've found to use this is to blow out all of the air in your lungs and SLOWLY inhale as much as you can. Seriously, take it easy the first couple of times or it'll creep up on you :)
I also recommend using the auto timer. You can set it to automatically turn off after an hour or two. We set it for an hour and have never needed it longer than that but again, everyone is different.
