We use candles every morning to usher in the day with quiet light, while looking out at our birds at the bird feeder. We struggled to find candles that didn't spit wax all over the coffee table; that didn't make us sneeze from heavy scents; and that didn't cost an arm and a leg. These candles, made in Belgium, are high quality and AFFORDABLE for people like ourselves who use them every day. And being tapers instead of fat, round candles, there is no wasted wax or flame that disappears way down inside a cylinder. My favorite part is that they fit in our wine-bottle holders with no need to carve the ends down to fit.

These candles are disappointing. The base is barely 3/4 inch and hence they do NOT fit into standard candlesticks. They are all parafin and have a very cheap look to them. You get what you pay for.
